At the request of the Conférence régionale des élus de la Capitale-Nationale and on behalf of Nature Québec, atelier phusis has completed an atlas of the Capitale-Nationale region’s sensitive forest landscapes.

This synthesis and reflection concerning sensitive forest landscapes in the region identifies disparities and deficiencies in the identification, characterization and integration of these territories into forest management strategies.

Based on discussions we had with numerous regional actors, we produced 13 recommendations whose objective is to promote a global and long-term approach to the issue of sensitive forest landscapes that supports value creation in a context of multi-use forest resources.

This paradigm shift regarding sensitive forest landscapes is crucial for the Capitale-Nationale Region whose recreational and eco-tourism activities are important drivers of regional development.
